On our own behalf: PZ launches “Ask the AI”
The Pharmazeutische Zeitung (PZ) is expanding its digital offering and launching "Ask the AI," a new research tool powered by artificial intelligence. Readers can now search the PZ pages even more easily and have their questions about pharmaceutical issues or current health policy developments answered by AI.

The answers are based exclusively on the article archive of the Pharmazeutische Zeitung and the PTA Forum and contain links to the original articles. This means that users not only receive a comprehensive summary of their question in seconds based on thoroughly researched articles, but also have quick access to the original posts.

»The answers to pharmaceutical questions convinced us in the test and we are excited about the feedback from the Pharmacies ," says PZ co-editor-in-chief Sven Siebenand. Importantly, the questions asked and the feedback received will only be used to generate answers and improve the quality of future results. No additional personal data will be collected or stored.

"As with all new developments, we are guided by the added value for our readers: They benefit from an optimized search in the verified content of our specialist editorial team," says PZ Co-Editor-in-Chief Alexander Müller. "Ask the AI" is constantly being developed further, and the offering is being expanded, Müller adds.

Avoxa Managing Director Peter Steinke explains: "The new tool is just one step in our consistent digitalization strategy, with which Avoxa is once again a pioneer in the market. We will introduce further AI applications in the publishing house and other areas of the company. Our innovative strength always goes hand in hand with our security promise to the users of our services," says Steinke.

Among the services introduced in recent months is the PZ's WhatsApp channel. Subscribers receive the most important news from the pharmaceutical and pharmacy market directly as a push notification on their smartphone—complementing the editorial team's extensive social media activities: Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn , and XING . The editorial team has consciously withdrawn from X (formerly Twitter) out of conviction. Instead, the PZ is now represented on Bluesky .
